Confetti Wall Art Class

Confetti quilting is an applique technique using a lot of tiny little confetti-sized pieces of fabric. Often using a photo or picture as an inspiration, the quilter layers pieces of colored (confetti) fabric onto a piece of batting or base fabric, to get the effect needed. When all the confetti is placed, the piece is often covered with tulle and machine stitched to hold it all down.

The morning session will be spent shredding and laying out the picture, covering it with tulle and pinning. The afternoon will be finishing any pinning and free motion quilting.

Class Fee: $50, which includes the fabric for the backing, batting, and tulle needed for the project.  Precut fussy cut fabrics will also be in each kit. Participants should bring a variety of fabrics (prefer batiks) for cutting into confetti and to fussy cut flowers, insects, plants, leaves or more.
