Jelly Roll Rug Class
This will be an abbreviated lesson. The project will not be completed at the end of this session. The students will complete the projects at home.
What to bring:
Jelly Roll containing ~ 40 strips of 2 ½” wide fabric
Sewing Machine (with a foot suitable for sewing extra wide zig-zag stitches)
Sewing Machine needles 90/14 or 100/16
Thread (40 weight polyester is preferable)
Strips of batting (if you are cutting your own batting, cut the strips @ 2 ¼” wide ~ 50 yards
Scissors
Optional: Jelly Roll Sasher tool or Jelly Roll binding tool or Jelly Roll Tube maker tool
Make sure your sewing machine is capable of sewing through (4) layers of fabric and (4) layers of batting.
