Quilting 101 - Evenings

Monday’s  from 5:30 P.M. - 8:30 P.M.

Class $7.50 per class

Get started quilting or get help with any project you are working on.  Everyone is working on different projects and are at different levels of quilting.   Join Phyllis and get help with any quilting project.  She can help you learn all the basics or challenge you to learn some basic quilting techniques using your own sewing machine.

If you have started making quilts and have found yourself with many projects that need to be finished, come and join Crystal on Tuesday mornings.   This class is also perfect for anyone who needs help getting started or are stuck on a pattern.  

This class is not held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month due to Thimbleberries.

Scrap Therapy

CUTTING SESSSION:  Wednesday, August 4 from 9:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M.

Cost:  $12 and includes pattern and scrap box  ($5 Repeat Patients)

SEWING SESSION:  Wednesday, August 25 from 9:30 A.M. - 3:30 P.M.

Cost:  $5

If your stash is getting the better part of your sewing room, you must sign up for this “therapy session”.  We will support each other and learn from each other while figuring out ways to cut our stash apart into useable pieces. 

If you have attended any of our cutting sessions in the past you are invited to join us at any sewing session.  Anyone attending their first time can attend a sewing session and get a free pattern to work on during that session also. In August we will be featuring two new patterns and as always they are made using you SCRAPS!

Kids Pillowcase Class

Friday, August 20th from 10 A.M. - Noon

Cost $15 which includes use of machine and all supplies

I can not believe the amount of young quilters interested in taking classes.  Crystal misses teaching (since this is what she did before the shop) and she will be working with a small amount of young quilters on this morning to make a pillowcase they can use.  If possible, children should be 8 or more years of age when attending this class.  (Parents do not need to attend.)  We do not discriminate by age.... thus.... you can be any age.... up to 120 years old.

Button Jewelry

Wednesday, September 1 from 5:30 - 7:30 P.M.

Cost: $7 includes supplies

Quilt Corner has a large amount of bulk buttons for only 10 cents each.  Cheryl has been busy playing around with various ways to make jewelry with buttons.  The has necklaces and bracelet designs to share.  In the class you will make on or the two designs.

Pavers & Cornerstones

Saturday, September 11 from 9:30 A.M.  - 3:30 P.M.

Cost $22 includes pattern

Join us for a fun-filled day of quilting.  Kim will be testing one of her new patterns with this group.  Everyone will receive a pattern and be instructed at so how to make this quilt using jelly rolls or yardage.  This class will be a sure success!  Come in and see the sample and get the class supply list.

Cotton Theory Bag Class

Monday, September 27 from 9:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

Cost:  $40

Alice knows first hand how to make and create wonderful bags, runners and quilts using Betty Cotton’s “Cotton Theory” technique and patterns.  In this class Alice will teach you how to make a reversible bag.  Supply list will be available after Labor Day.

We will be ordering lunch from Ginny’s Cupboard ($4-8 per meal).  If you prefer you can bring a bag lunch or go out for lunch.

Buggy Barn Workshop

Saturday, October 2 from 9:30 A.M.  - 3:30 P.M.

Cost $20

Learn the basics of making Buggy Barn quilts by taking this workshop.  Book or pattern is required and are available at Quilt Corner.  Judy will teach you how to stack up the fat quarters and cut the blocks 4-6 at a time.  Everyone will work to complete one quilt block before going home to work on the others. 

Happy Holidays

Monday, October 18 and 25 from 9:30 A.M. - 1 P.M.

Phyllis will be featuring a Terry Atkinson Designs pattern that offers three sizes, table topper -tree skirt - table cloth.  This quilt looks more complicated that it really is.  In this class you will learn how to make this eye-catching quilt with little or no pain!  You will be amazed at how the triangles are sewn together.

Cotton Theory “Holiday Project”

Monday, November 29 from 9:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.

Cost:  $40

Alice is excited to be sharing some “holiday projects” with you.  This class will be fun and perfect for the gift-giving season.
