Instructor: | Patti Towers |
Instructor Bio: | Patti learned to sew while she was still in elementary school. Her most challenging project was her senior prom dress, which she finished 15 minutes before her date arrived. Patti has been quilting for 20 plus years. She was taught by her mom, who is still an inspiration to her even though she has gone to the great quilt shop in the sky. She always says that her mom was an appliquer and she is a stripper. Prior to starting her long arm business, she worked in the legal field as a paralegal doing intellectual property law litigation. 25 plus years was enough. Patti began long arm quilting in 2014, and started teaching at a local shop in 2022. She enjoys her Amara24 with ProStitcher. Her motto – long arm quilting is fun and easy. In 2023, Patti had a quilt hung in the AQS Show in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was truly an accomplishment she didn’t expect. Patti enjoys teaching both ProStitcher and ProStitcher Designer in person and virtually. She feels that no matter now many times you take a class, you always learn something new. Patti lives in Traverse City, Michigan, with her husband Tom and their two sons. When not quilting or teaching, she enjoys reading, going to the beach, and traveling. |
