***This ADVANCED Pro-Stitcher class is designed for skilled quilters with a strong foundation in the computer system and are looking to refine techniques.

Machine Setup: Two people per Handi Quilter Amara 20 machine

Instructor: Annette Look, Handi Quilter Educator

* Prerequisite: This class is for  CONFIDENT Pro-Stitcher users. You should already be comfortable with basic functions before attending.  If you are unsure of your level, please speak with Crystal about what skills will be taught in class to determine which ones work best for you.

 

Overview:
Blocks, backgrounds, and borders are the foundation of many pieced quilt tops. In this class, you’ll learn how to quilt these essential components with a cohesive, polished look while developing your own unique quilting style. We’ll explore design selection, adaptation, and efficient quilting techniques to enhance each area of your quilt.

What You'll Learn:

  • Working with borders for seamless, professional finishes

  • Tried-and-true filler patterns and go-to designs to elevate your quilting.

  • How to select and modify designs to complement your quilt’s overall aesthetic.

  • Tips for achieving precision and consistency in your quilting.

  • Hands-on experience with different machine feet and tools to help with accurate placement and stitching.

  • All techniques taught will be Pro-Stitcher quilting-based.

Class Format:
This is a hands-on class with two students per machine, ensuring plenty of stitching time for each participant. You’ll have the opportunity to practice designs, troubleshoot challenges, and gain valuable insights from both the instructor and fellow students.

Instructor: Annette Look - Handi Quilter National Educator
Instructor Bio: Annette began sewing when she was introduced to the joy of making garments while in High School. Knowing that she could use her skills to make clothing the way she wanted, developed the love of creating with fabric. After getting married and starting a family, Annette was invited to attend her rst quilt piecing class, so the journey of quilting began. In 2009 Annette purchased her rst longarm machine, the HQ Sixteen®. It was the start of a special relationship with quilting. Annette discovering what could be done on a longarm machine by taking classes that helped her gather as much knowledge to expand her quilting ability. In 2018 the purchase of the HQ Amara® brought more exciting possibilities. It wasn’t long after when the ProStitcher® was added and her business, The Quilting “Look”, was born. Annette loves to quilt for herself and family but nds great joy in the smiles she receives when putting the nishing touches of quilting for her customer’s. Although she enjoys quilting for others, her true passion is teaching. Sharing what she can with new and longtime quilters by hosting classes in person and virtually. Knowing that each quilter can always expand their knowledge and being able to help with that process has always been longtime goal. Annette is someone that enjoys people, getting to know them and sharing common interests. She and her husband, Chet, live in North Central Kansas. They love to travel and experience new adventures.
