Windswept: A Modern Drunkard's Path Flower

In this class, we'll explore the beauty and versatility of the classic Drunkard's Path quilt block, reimagined with a modern twist. We'll be creating a stunning, large-scale flower design using a variety of sizes of curved pieces, resulting in a quilt block with elegant, flowing lines.

About the Pattern:

• The "Windswept" pattern is designed to create a Twin/Full size quilt, approximately 84" x 84".

• In class, we'll focus on constructing a single flower block, giving you hands-on experience with the curved piecing techniques involved.

• If you fall in love with the process (and we think you will!), you'll have the tools and knowledge to create additional blocks and complete the full quilt at home.

What to Expect in Class:

• Detailed instruction on cutting and piecing curved Drunkard's Path blocks in multiple sizes.

• Tips and tricks for achieving smooth, accurate curves.

• Guidance on layout and design to create the flowing flower effect.

• The chance to connect with fellow quilters and explore your creativity.

What to Bring:

• Your sewing machine, in good working order.

• Rotary cutter.

• Thread (neutral or matching your fabric).

• Scissors.

• Basic sewing supplies (pins, seam ripper, etc.).

• The cutting instructions and templates (provided upon sign up).

Important Notes:

• Cutting instructions and templates will be sent to you after enrollment, allowing you time to prepare your fabric before class.

• The curved piecing can be a bit tricky at first, but with practice, you'll be amazed at what you can create. Don't be afraid to ask questions!

• We want you to enjoy your time and learn new skills.
